Quickstart
Use this guide after downloading the current notarized ScreenFerry DMG.
Install
Open ScreenFerry-0.2.0-commercial-rc-notarized.dmg.
Drag ScreenFerry.app to Applications.
Eject the DMG.
Open ScreenFerry from Applications.
Install Dependencies
The MVP uses Homebrew-installed adb and scrcpy. They are not bundled in the DMG.
brew install --cask android-platform-tools
brew install scrcpy
Verify the tools:
adb version
scrcpy --version
First USB Setup
Connect an Android phone by USB.
On the phone, enable Developer options.
Enable USB debugging.
Approve the USB debugging prompt for this Mac.
In ScreenFerry, run the status check.
Start mirroring.
ScreenFerry detects missing tools, no-device, unauthorized, offline, USB-ready, and wireless-ready states.
Wireless Reconnect
After one successful USB-to-Wi-Fi setup, ScreenFerry remembers the recent Android phone locally. On the same Wi-Fi or phone hotspot, use Wireless Reconnect.
Android 11 or later can also use Wireless debugging pairing:
- Open Settings > Developer options > Wireless debugging.
- Choose Pair device with pairing code.
- Enter the IP address, pairing port, pairing code, and connection port in ScreenFerry.
- Pair and start mirroring.
Pro Activation
Buy ScreenFerry Pro.
Copy the SF1 license key from the purchase email.
Paste it into the License field.
Press Activate.
The app verifies the license locally. Do not post full license keys in public issue trackers.
Support
If setup fails, export a diagnostic bundle from ScreenFerry and email support@screenferry.app with your macOS version, Android device model, Android version, and visible ADB state.
